Maha Periyava loved to stay and was staying for 6 years from 1972 to 1978 at Thenambakkam Lord Brahmapureeswarar Temple and as per his wish, a Vedha Padasala was also started here at Thenambakkam in 1978 and is still running creating a lot of Vedhic Scholors every year.

இங்கு இவருக்கு தனி சன்னதி அவர் தங்கியிருந்த அறைக்கு அருகில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இவ்வாண்டு அவரது ஜெயந்தி வெகு விமரிசையாக 27 நாள் வேத பாராயணம் – ரிக் வேதத்தில் ஜட, யஜுர் வேதத்தில் கணம், சாம வேத பாராயணம் ஆகியவை மே 1 முதல் 27 முடிய கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இவ்வகையில் கடந்த 13 அன்று தெப்ப உற்சவம் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. மஹா பெரியவா ஜெயந்தி மே 22 வைகாசி அனுஷம் ஆகும்.
