விஷ்ணு காஞ்சியில் அமைந்துள்ள கோமளவல்லி சமேத யதோத்தகாரி பெருமாள் கோவில் வைணவம் கொண்டாடும் 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் ஒன்றாகும்.
திருமழிசையாழ்வார் சிஷ்யன் கனிகண்ணன், மன்னனால் அவரைப்பாடும்படி நிர்பந்திக்கப்பட்டான். மறுத்த கனிகண்ணன் மன்னனால் நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டான். திருமழிசையாழ்வாரிடம் வந்து நிகழ்ந்தவையுரைத்து காஞ்சியை விட்டுக் கிளம்பினான் கனிகண்ணன்.
திருமழிசையாழ்வார் தானும் கிளம்பி வெளியேற யதோத்தகாரி பெருமாளிடம் நீயும் உன் பைந்நாகப் பாய் சுருட்டிக்கொள் எனக்கூற, பெருமாள் அவர் பின்னால் சென்றார். ஆழ்வார் சொன்ன படி செய்ததால் இவர் சொன்ன வண்ணம் செய்த பெருமாள் ஆனார்.
இவ்வாலயத்தில் பங்குனி பிரம்மோற்சவம் 30-03-2016 அன்று தொடங்கி 01-04-2016 அன்று கருட வாகனம் மற்றும் 05-04-2016 அன்று தேர் திருவிழவுமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Sonna vannam Seitha perumal
Komalavalli sametha Yathothakari perumal temple in Vishnu Kanchi is one among the 108 Divaya Desha’s in Vaishnavism.
Thiurmazhisai Azhwar’s disciple (Shishya) Kanikannan was forced by the King to sing about him. When refused by Kanikannan, the king ordered him to get away from Kanchi. Hence, he came to Thirumazhisai Azhwar, explained everything and started moving out of Kanchi.
Then, Thirumazhisai Azhwar as he decided to move out of Kanchi, told lord Vishnu to roll his snake bed and get out of Kanchi as he & his disciple is going out of Kanchi. Then Lord Vishnu Followed him. As the Lord listened to the words of the Azhwar, he is called Sonna Vannam Seitha Perumal.
In this temple Panguni Brahmotsav is starting from 30.03.16 then, 01.04.16 – Garuda Vahanam & 05.04.16 – Cart Festival (Their) are being celebrated in a grand manner.
