"Tirupati Kudai Have a Flat Design. Its available in Varies Sizes from 3ft to 9ft. Velvet Cloth is Used in Top
With Pole also added.

Tiruppathi Kudai is made of bamboo logs. Around the bamboo logs, cotton as well as
velvette cloths are nicely stitched for a pleasant look. At the time of ritual processions,
according to the size of the idols, being carried, one or two umbrellas are used.

The umbrella is detachable. The upper part, stem and the base are separable. The bottom
and the handle are coated with brass or silver or gold polish. When we fix a golden
polished dome at the top of the umbrella, it seems gigantic.

When the umbrella is spread, its lower diameter is 9” and12”. It a huger size is needed,
than the regular one, we accept orders. As the umbrella very heavy, the workmen
carrying this would wear a belt around their hips to hold the handle tightly by inserting it
into their belts, and lean the stem part upon their bottom, and walk with good balance.
