வழக்கருத்தீஸ்வரர் கோயில் – காஞ்சிபுரம் ஆடிசன்பேட்டையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. பழங்காலத்தில் வழக்குகள் அரசவையின் வழக்கு மன்றங்களுக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்படாமல் இவ்வாலயம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது. இங்குள்ள சிவ பெருமான் தன் முன் வைக்கப்படுகின்ற அனைத்து வழக்குகளுக்கும் தீர்வு அளித்தார்.

இன்றும், மக்கள் தங்கள் சட்ட சிக்கல்கள் தீர இவ்விறைவனை வணங்கி வருகின்றனர். சாதாரணமாக, எவர்களால் ருத்ர யாகம் பண்ண முடிகிறதோ அவர்கள் ருத்ர யாகம் பண்ணுகிறார்கள், பிறர் பிரதஷினம் (நடந்து ஆலயத்தை சுற்றி வருதல்) மற்றும் நெய் தீபம் ஏற்றி (குறிப்பாக திங்கள்கிழமைகளில்) அர்ச்சனை செய்து பதினாறு வாரங்கள் வழிபடுகின்றனர். எந்தவிதமான சட்ட சிக்கலும் அந்த பதினாறு வாரங்களுள் தீர்ந்துவிடும்.

சட்ட சிக்கல்கள் தீர்ந்தவுடன், சிவனுக்கு அபிஷேக அர்ச்சனை செய்து வழிபடுவர்.

தற்போது இவ்வாலயம் விரைவில்கும்பாபிஷேகத்திற்குத் தயாராகிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன.

The VAZHKARUTHEESWARAR Temple – KANCHIPURAM is located in Adissonpettai. In Olden days, Legal cases were not taken to the king’s court, instead brought to this temple. Lord Shiva of this temple solves all the problems placed in front of him.

Even today, people offer worships to him to get their legal problems solved. Normally, those who could offord to do Rudra Yaham do it to get rid of their litigations while others do Pradhakshinams (Going round the temple by walking) and light Ghee lamp for 16 weeks (Preferabily on Mondays) and do an Archana for the sixteen weeks. Any legal problems will get solved within this 16 weeks.

Once, the problem is solved people offer Abishekam & Archana to the Lord Shiva.

At present the temple is getting ready to have its Kumbabishekam shortly.

Maha Maham / Maha Magam

ஜோதிட ரீதியாக சூரியனின் சொந்த வீடான சிம்மத்தில் குருவுடன் சந்திரன் இருக்கும் காலமே மகாமகம் என்று தமிழகத்தில் மிகச்சிறந்த விழாவாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. சிம்மத்தில் குரு இருக்கும் காலம் கோதாவரி புஷ்கராலு என்று ஆந்திரா, தெலுங்கனா, மகாராஷ்டிரா போன்ற மாநிலங்களிலும் மஹாகும்பமேளா என்று கர்நாடகா, மத்யப்ரதேஷ் போன்ற மாநிலங்களிலும் – மிகச்சிறந்த விழாவாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. அதாவது, இந்தியாவின் பெரும்பகுதியில் நீர் திருவிழாவாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

இக்காலத்தில் ஏற்படும் சீதோஷ்ண மாற்றங்களின் பாதிப்பை குறைக்கவே இச்சமயம் நீர் திருவிழாவாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இதில் ராகு அல்லது கேது சேர்வது இரு நூற்றாண்டுக்கு ஒரு முறை வரும் நிகழ்வாகும். அவ்வகையில் இப்போது ராகு குருவுடன் சிம்மத்திலும் கேது சூரியனுடன் கும்பத்திலும் இருக்கின்றனர். இது 22 பிப்ரவரி 2௦16 அன்று வருகிறது.

Astronomically, in the house of Sun – Simha, Guru & Moon joining is being celebrated as Mahamaham in a grand Manner at Tamil Nadu. The period of Guru in simha is celebrated as Godhavari Pushkaralu in Andhra, Telungana & Maharashtra and in States like Karnataka, Madhyapradesh, etc., it is celebrated as Maha Kumbhamela. That is, major portions in India, this period is celebrated as a Water Festival.

To overcome the difficulties arise due to the Climatic change (the cosmic energy) it is being celebrated as a water festival. Ragu / Kedhu joins with this once in two Centuries. This way, this year Ragu joins Guru in Simha and Kedhu joins sun at Kumbam. This comes on 22^nd February 2016.

கவன யோகம் நமஸ்கரித் துன் பாதம் நாளும் போற்ற, அந்தரமாய்

நிறைந்திருக்குங் கெருடன் மீதில் அன்புடனேயேறி வந்தருள் செய்வாயே.

ஆலயங்களில் உற்சவ காலங்களில் இறைவனை வாகனங்களில் ஏற்றி வீதி உலா வரச்செய்வர். நம் இந்து மதத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு தெய்வத்திற்கும் தனித்தனி வாகனங்கள் உண்டு. விநாயகர் என்றால் மூஷிகம்(எலி), முருகன் என்றால் மயில், துர்க்கை என்றால் சிம்மம், சிவன் என்றால் நந்தி. இவ்வரிசையில் விஷ்ணு என்றால் கருடன். காக்கும் கடவுளாம் விஷ்ணுவை கருடன் மீதேறி வந்து அருள் செய்ய வேண்டும் மந்திரமே மேலே குறிப்பிட்ட கருட பத்து ஆகும்.

கருட வாகனம் மரம், பஞ்ச லோகம் மற்றும் பித்தளை போன்றவற்றில் செய்யப்படுகிறது. விஷ்ணு ஆலயங்களில் பிரம்மோத்சவத்தில் கருட வாகனம் கண்டிப்பாக இடம் பிடிக்கும்.

In Temples during Utsava times, the deity is mounted on their Vahana’s and are brought around the Streets. In Hiduism, every God has their own vahanam. For Vinayagar (Ganapathi) Mooshikam is the Vahanam, for Murugan Peacock is the vahanam, For Durgai Lion is the Vahanam, for Shivan Nandhi is the Vahanam and for Vishnu Garudan is the Vahanam. In the above mentioned Sloka of Garuda Paththu (Garuda Ten), lord Vishnu is invited to come mounting on the Garudan to protect us.

Garuda Vahanam is made of Wood, Panchalogam and Brass. In Vishnu temples Brammohtsavam’s Garuda vahanam plays an important role.

Mahashivrathri

மஹாசிவராத்திரி என்பது சிவ சக்தியின் திருமணமான மாசி மாத தேய்பிறை பதினான்காம் நாள் கொண்டாடப்படும் ஒரு விழா. இந்த ஆண்டில் மார்ச் 7 ஆம் தேதி வருகிறது. சிவன் அபிஷேகப் பிரியன் என்பதால் சிறப்பு அபிஷேக ஆராதனைகள் செய்து கொண்டாடப்படும்.

சிவபுராணத்தின் படி கீழ்கண்ட ஆறு விஷயங்கள் மஹாசிவராத்திரி அன்று கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

ஆன்ம சுத்தி அளிக்கும் – அபிஷேகங்கள் – தண்ணீர், பால், தேன், ருத்ராக்ஷம் மற்றும் வில்வம் ஆகியவற்றால்
வெற்றியைக் குறிக்கும் விபூதி
நீண்ட ஆயுளும் விருப்பங்கள் நிறைவேறவும் – பழங்கள் நிவேதனம்

அன்று இரவும் பகலும் எல்லாம் சிவனுடையது என்றுணர்த்தும் “ஓம் நமசிவாய” என்ற பஞ்சாக்ஷரத்தை ஓதியபடி இருப்பதால் நான் எனது என்ற அகங்காரம் நீங்கி ஆன்மா தூய்மையடையும். அன்று சிவனருள் வேண்டி ருத்ரம், ம்ருத்யுன்ஜெய ஜபம், ம்ருத்யுன்ஜெய ஹோமம் ஆகியவற்றைச் செய்வர்.

சிவராத்திரியோடு பனியும் சிவ சிவா என்று ஓடிவிடும். அதன் பிறகு கோடை காலம் தொடங்கிவிடும்.

சிவராத்திரி இந்தியாவில் மட்டுமல்லாது உலகெங்கிலும் இந்துக்கள் வாழும்அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும் மிகச் சிறப்பாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. சிவராத்திரியின் மறுதினம் அமாவாசை “மயானக்கொள்ளை” என்று சாந்தி கிடைக்காத ஆன்மாக்களுக்கு சாந்தி அளிக்கும் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

Mahashivaratri is the famous Hindu festival celebrating the wedding of Lord Shiva & Shakthi – on the Krishna Paksha Chathurdhasi (Means 14^th day after Full moon day) of (Kumba) Maasi month which falls on 7^th March 2016, this year

As Lord Shiva is an Abisheka priyan, the day is celebrated by grand Abishekams and Aaradhanai’s

According to the Shiva Purana, the Mahashivaratri worship must incorporate six items:

Bathing the Shiva Lingam with water, milk and honey. Rudraksh or Vilva leaves are added to, which represents purification of the soul;
Vermilion paste is applied to the Shiva Linga after bathing it. This represents virtue;
Offering of fruits, which is conducive to longevity and gratification of desires;
Burning incense, yielding wealth;
The lighting of the lamp which is conducive to the attainment of knowledge;
And betel leaves marking satisfaction with worldly pleasures.

The day and night is spent chanting the Panchakshara “Om Nama Shivaya” – which means everything belongs to Lord Shiva purifying our Soul, by removing the Ahangara of Me & Mine. Rudra Parayanam, Mrithyunjaya Mantra Jabam, Mrithyunjaya Homam – all will be conducted widely on this day to please Lord Shiva and get his blessings.

The season also changes with the Shivaratri – In India, It is said that the Fog / Mist will vanish with Shivarathri saying Shiva Shiva and the summer will start from then on.

Mahashivarathri is celebrated not only in India, but also around the world where all Hindus are there – in a big way. The day next to Mahashivarathri is the Amavasya day called Mayana Kollai Amavasya – being peace given to unrested souls.
