Out of the 22 Dhivya Desha’s of Thondai Nadu, Sholingar.  This lies in between Kanchipuram and Thirumalai Tirupathi.

Out of the 108 Dhivya Desha’s (The places that are sung by the Azhwars), Nammazhwar, Thirumangai Azhwar, Peyazhwar had sung on this holy place which has a temple which 1000-2000 years old situated in the vellore District.

Here about 500 ft. height (1500 steps) on the Big Mountain called Kadikachalam, Lord Nrushimha Moolvar, near there on the small mountain (406 Steps) Anjaneyar with Sangu & Chakkaram and at the basement Urchavar stays and blesses us.

Staying in this holy place for 24 Minutes = 1 Kadigai  itself will fetch us the Moksha.

It is in such a way that when looked from the small mountain, Lord Anjaneya’s eyes looks straight at the feet of Lord Nrushimha in the Big Mountain.

Once, Vishwamithrar Worshipped Lord Nrushimha here and got Brahmarishi title   Simillarly to get the instantaneous Dharshan of Lord Nrushimha in the way Pragalad had seen, the sabdha rishi’s (7 Sages) Vama Devar, Vasister, Kathyapar, Athiri, Jamadhakkini, Gowthamar, Bharathwajar performed Thapas.

At the end of Ramavathara, Lord Rama told Anjaneya to protect the Rishi’s whose Thapas was being disturbed by Asura’s.  As per the instructions Lord Anjaneya fought with Kalan & Keyan, for which he got the Sangu & Chakkaram from Lord Rama and completed the task.

Atlast, as a result of the Thapas, Lord Vishnu Appeared in front of the Saptha Rishi’s  as Nrushimha Moorthi.  That time, he ordered Anjaneya to stay in front of him with Sangu & Chakkaram and remove all the curses of the Bhaktha’s.

Hence, Lord Anjaneya stays in the small mountain with Sangu & Chakkaram in his hands blessing the People.

தொண்டை நாட்டு 22 திவ்யதேசங்களில் ஒப்பற்ற திவ்யதேசம் சோளிங்கர். காஞ்சிபுரத்திற்கும், திருவேங்கடமலைக்கும் இடையிலுள்ள திவ்ய தேசம் ஆகும்.

பெருமாளின் 108 திருப்பதிகளில் நம்மாழ்வார், திருமங்கையாழ்வார், பேயாழ்வாரால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்யப்பெற்ற சோளிங்கர் திருத்தலம் 1000 – 2000 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான கோவில் வேலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.

இங்கு 500 அடி உயரமுள்ள (1500 படிகள் அமைந்து)  கடிகாசலம் என்ற பெரிய மலைமீது மூலவரும், அதன் அருகிலுள்ள சிறிய மலையில் (406 படிகள் அமைந்து) சங்கு சக்கரத்துடன் ஆஞ்சநேயரும், கீழே உற்சவரும் அருள்பாலிக்கிறார்கள்.

இத்தலத்தில் ஒரு கடிகை (24நிமிடம்) இருந்தாலே மோட்சம் கிடைக்கும் என்பது ஐதீகம்.

சிறிய மலையிலிருந்து பார்த்தால் யோக ஆஞ்சநேயரின் கண்கள் நேராக பெரிய மலையில் உள்ள யோக நரசிம்மரின் திருவடி நோக்கி அமைந்துள்ளது.

ஒரு காலத்தில் விசுவாமித்திரர் இத்தலத்தில் சிறிது நேரம் நரசிம்மனை வழிபட்டு “பிரம்மரிஷி’ பட்டம் பெற்றாராம். அதே போல் தங்களுக்கும் பெருமாளின் தரிசனம் உடனடியாக வேண்டும் என்ற காரணத்தினால். வாமதேவர், வசிஷ்டர், கத்யபர், அத்திரி, ஜமத்கனி, கவுதமர், பரத்வாஜர் ஆகிய சப்தரிஷிகளும் இங்கு வந்து தவமிருந்தனர்

ராமாவதாரம் முடிந்ததும் ராமன் ஆஞ்சநேயரிடம், “”இந்த மலையில் தவம் செய்யும் ரிஷிகளுக்கு அரக்கர்களால் இடைஞ்சல் ஏற்படுகிறது. அதை போக்கி வை,” என்றார். அதன்படி ஆஞ்சநேயர் இங்கு வந்து காலன், கேயன் என்னும் இரு அரக்கர்களுடன் சண்டை செய்ய, அது முடியாமல் போனதால் ராமனை வழிபட்டு அவரிடமிருந்து சங்கு, சக்கரங்களை பெற்று அதன் மூலம் அரக்கர்களை அழித்து ரிஷிகளை காப்பாற்றினார்.

கடைசியில் ரிஷிகளின் தவத்தினை மெச்சிய பெருமாள் அவர்களது விருப்பப்படி நரசிம்ம மூர்த்தியாக காட்சி கொடுத்தார். இந்த அவதாரத்தை கண்டு களித்த ஆஞ்சநேயரிடம் பெருமாள், “”நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக கையில் சங்கு சக்கரத்துடன் யோகத்தில் அமர்ந்து என்பக்தர்களின் குறைகளை போக்கி வா,”என்று கூறினார்.

அதன்படி ஆஞ்சநேயர் நரசிம்மர் கோயில் உள்ள மலைக்கு அருகில் உள்ள சிறிய மலையில் “யோக ஆஞ்சநேயராக’ சங்கு சக்கரத்துடன் அருள்பாலித்து வருகிறார்.
