Raja Spiritual Pvt Ltd undertook a sacred brass cladding project for the front sanctum (garbha graha) of the Sri Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple in Bangalore. The goal was to preserve the sanctity of the space while enhancing its spiritual ambiance through handcrafted brass panel installation—meticulously designed, engineered, and executed with traditional techniques. The complex curvature of the sanctum, along with temple-specific design requests, made this a spiritually significant and technically challenging project that was completed with precision and reverence.

The temple committee sought to uplift the spiritual aesthetics of the garbha graha through divine visual elements, specifically requesting the depiction of Yazhi on the front sanctum walls. They wanted the design to reflect devotion and elegance, with no compromise on sacred detailing. The client valued originality, and selected the final concept through a collaborative review of two custom options presented by Raja Spiritual.

Raja Spiritual’s Solution

1. Collaborative Design & Planning:

• Initial measurement and conceptual sketches aligned to Saivam traditions
• Two design options were presented to the committee; one was selected collaboratively
• Sthapathis translated approved designs into real-size full-scale drawings

2. Brass Sheet Fabrication & Craftsmanship:

• Sheet cutting planned strategically to minimize joints, enhancing visual flow and durability
• Sheets shaped through vattumanam (precision bending) to match wall curvature
• Jaya-Vijaya imagery embossed with depth layering, focusing height on sacred elements
• Micro-detailing completed using hand chisels by skilled sthapathis

3. Material & Finishing:

• Pure-grade brass used with high embossability and durability
• Polishing and lacquering done post-engraving for lasting shine and corrosion resistance
